My project is an extended exploration into meaning-making through vibration. Conducted as a series of experiments, it uncovers the possibilities for haptic design to enrich interactions with digital devices. Setting out to discover a design language for vibration, it starts with the communication of simple expressions that become embedded with meaning overtime. Each step in my experiment builds on user-testing to prompt the discovery of behaviours, interactions and meanings. Presented here is the latest experiment, two devices able to communicate simple vibrational messages, providing an environment to experience and develop meaning-making through vibration.
